Job search

Job + Search = Go!

There is no single way to find a job. To achieve your goals, you will need a robust action plan together with a well-thought out strategy. This is essential, not only so that you choose job search techniques which are best suited to your needs, but also to optimise your chances of getting a job interview. It is the combination of one or more techniques discussed in our articles that should lead to positive results.

It is often difficult to get a job interview. There's a lot of competition out there. For every job, there may be up to 1500 applications. And half of job vacancies are never advertised. In fact, many believe that only one in five jobs are advertised on internet and/or with recruitment agencies.

Using your professional network and/or sending speculative applications are both excellent techniques to look for work, for the simple reason that the job often has not yet been advertised (not yet in circulation on the internet or with recruitment agencies). This is particularly true for flexible work. Word of mouth is also a good way to spot new career opportunities and help you decide your career path. Remember - you need to have a good knowledge of the job market as this will guide your strategy and action plan accordingly.

Good luck. Our aim is to support you at every step of your career.
