Exercise 2 : The SCAMPER tool
The SCAMPER technique is a very useful way to review your job search. It allows you to look at your strategy from different angles, to come up with new ideas or transform existing ideas so that you can find your ideal job.
At the end of this exercise, you should be able to:
Clearly identify any problems with your current job search strategy
Develop your job search strategy in a logical way by answering specific questions
Use SCAMPER operators to find new ideas and develop them in depth
Here we have used a simplified version of the SCAMPER technique to help you with your job search strategy. If you would like to explore this further, you can get a complete list of SCAMPER questions in the book by Michael Michalko - Thinkertoys, 30 Games to Stretch the Mind - translated by Jean-Louis Klisnick, Paris.
