Exercise 2 : Dealing with change
You will probably face many changes during your career - those you want to make yourself and those that are forced upon you. Individuals experience change in different ways, often according to their personality. Some people embrace change while others resist it.
The purpose of this exercise is to help you understand your emotions at each step of the change process and to help you increase your resiliance in the face of change by improving your self-awareness.
At the end of this exercise, you should be able to:
Describe the changes that have taken place in your professional life and see how each affected you - were they positive or negative?
Better understand how you react emotionally to change
Identify how you can improve your reaction to change by being more self-aware
Put together an action plan to help you deal with change better
This exercise is structured in a way that allows you to reflect and make notes. Put as much detail as you want in the spaces provided.
