Exercise 1 : Changing career direction


During the course of your career, it's very likely that there will be times when you want to put plans in place to change jobs or direction or to retrain in another area.

Any major, or even relatively minor, change requires careful preparation.

The purpose of this exercise is to help you develop an action plan that is tailored to your needs.


At the end of this exercise, you should be able to:

  • Explore your desire for change and determine the reasons why you want it
  • Clearly define your goal
  • Establish a plan for the short, medium and long term to take you where you want to be


This exercise is structured in a way that allows you to reflect and make notes.  Put as much detail as you want in the spaces provided.
