This acceptable use policy sets out the terms between you and us under which you may access our website (our website). This acceptable use policy applies to all users of, and visitors to, our website.

    Interactive services

Our website service provides forums for discussion, exchange and sharing between candidates, employers and coaches. We may also provide other interactive services, including, without limitation : chat rooms or bulletin boards E-learning webinars to individuals or groups.

Where we provide an interactive service, we will provide clear information to you about the kind of service offered, how you should use the service and whether it is moderated. We are under no obligation to oversee, monitor or moderate any interactive service we provide on our site, and we expressly exclude our liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of any interactive service by a user in contravention of our content standards, whether the service is moderated or not. The use of our interactive services is not available to minors.

Where we do moderate an interactive service, we will normally provide you with a means of contacting the moderator, should a concern or difficulty arise.


These content standards apply to any and all material which you contribute to our site (contributions), and to any interactive services associated with it.

You must comply with the spirit of the following standards as well as the latter. The standards apply to each part of any contribution as well as to its whole.

  • Be accurate (where they concern a job posting or a members qualifications, knowledge or experience).
  • Be genuinely held (where they state opinions).
  • Comply with applicable law in the UK and in any country from which they are posted.

Contributions must not :

  • Contain any material which is defamatory, obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory.
  • Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.
  • Be likely to deceive any person.
  • Promote any illegal activity.
  • Be used to impersonate any person, or to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person.
    Forum Rules

Our forum is open to both candidates and employers to discuss various topics of interest to all our users. Contributions are not moderated before appearing on the forum in order to promote active discussions. However, active threads will be monitored by Flexijobs and any contributions found to breach our content standards will be removed. If a user becomes aware of an offensive contribution, there is the option to report the post or thread to a moderator who will review the contributions. In order for our forum to be successful and a pleasant place to visit, please abide by the following rules :


  • While we encourage discussion about a wide range of subjects, in particular current affairs, there are certain areas which may illicit more animosity and conflict. You therefore agree that discussions involving politics, religion, nationalities or anything of a sexual nature is reserved for other websites and will not be discussed on our website.
  • Spam, data mining or recruiting our membership to other forums is forbidden.
  • You agree that when posting to an existing thread started by another user you will not hijack the thread or take it off topic.
  • When posting you will not spam, troll, provoke or insult other users.
  • Excessively profane, insulting or mean spirited language is not allowed here.
  • Harassment or bullying or threats of any sort are not tolerated.
  • You agree and understand that debates may become passionate but you will not resort to personal attacks. If you feel you have been attacked, please use the ‘report this to a moderator’ link at the bottom of the post to notify us.
  • Posts advocating or condoning illegal activity are not allowed.
    •You agree that the moderators and administrators have the last word in any dispute and are responsible for the smooth running of our website and have final interpretation of these terms and conditions of use.
  • Suspension and termination

We will determine, in our discretion, whether there has been a breach of this acceptable use policy through your use of our site. When a breach of this policy has occurred, we may take such action as we deem appropriate.

Failure to comply with this acceptable use policy constitutes a material breach of the terms of use upon which you are permitted to use our site, and may result in our taking all or any of the following actions :


  • Immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use our site and removal of any contribution or material uploaded by you to our site.
  • Issue of a warning to you.
  • Further legal action against you.
  • Disclosure of such information to law enforcement authorities as we reasonably feel is necessary.
    We exclude liability for actions taken in response to breaches of this acceptable use policy.  The responses described in this policy are not limited, and we may take any other action we reasonably deem appropriate.

You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we make, as they are legally binding on you.
